Train Your Own Service Dog with Expert Guidance and Ongoing Support
We also provide fully trained service dogs placed at no charge.
We help disabled individuals successfully train their own service dogs through structured programs, professional mentorship, and step-by-step support — so you can gain greater independence and confidence in daily life.
How Our Service Dog Programs Work
Whether you are training your own service dog or applying for a fully trained placement, our process is designed to ensure safety, success, and long-term partnership.
Step 1: Apply & Tell Us About Your Needs
Complete our service dog application so we can understand your disability-related needs, lifestyle, and goals.
We review every application carefully to determine:
Whether a service dog is an appropriate tool
What trained tasks may be required
Whether you qualify for owner-trained guidance or placement consideration
This first step helps us ensure the right path for you.
Step 2: Approval & Program Placement
If approved, you will move into one of our two structured paths:
Option A: Train Your Own Service Dog
Work alongside our trainers through a structured service dog training program designed to help you safely and effectively train your own qualified dog. We provide step-by-step instruction, task training guidance, and public access preparation.
Option B: Apply for a Fully Trained Service Dog Placed at No Charge to You
For individuals who are unable to train independently, we place fully trained service dogs at no charge to qualified applicants. Availability is limited, and each match is thoughtfully selected to ensure long-term success. There is currently a waitlist.
Our goal is not just placement — it is partnership.
Step 3: Training, Public Access & Ongoing Support
Service dog training does not end at task work.
We ensure every team is prepared for:
Disability-mitigating task performance
Public access behavior and ADA compliance
Real-world environments
Long-term success and handler confidence
We remain available for continued guidance and support because independence should never feel isolating.
Your Independence Matters
A service dog can be life-changing — but only when training is done correctly, ethically, and with proper standards.
We are committed to helping each team build a safe, confident, and lasting working partnership.
Why Our Service Dog Training Model Works
Structured, step-by-step curriculum
Focus on disability-mitigating task work
Emphasis on public access standards
Ongoing mentorship and support
Ethical, ADA-aligned training practices
Testimonials
I have been using the Full Potential Service Dog Method of training for my Service dog since she was a puppy. I'm so glad that I did! I've taught my SD how to LOVE learning! ~Ingrid
Tokia has been a blessing in my life, bringing healing, resilience, and support through my disabilities and the loss of my first dog, Mollie. While Mollie’s absence will always weigh on my heart, Tokia has helped me move forward—not by replacing her, but by continuing the role she once filled in her own unique way. I am incredibly grateful to this organization for donating Tokia and providing her training, giving me not just a service dog but a lifeline that has changed my life.
I just started training using Lelah's book and I am really impressed with how much my dog is picking up. The format is simple to understand and the tasks are fun to do with my dog! ~Beth
