Help Build the Team Behind the Dogs

Your Service Dog Inc. has been training and placing Service Dogs since 2018. Our program works — and it’s growing. We’re looking for people to grow with it.

What This Work Actually Does

Somewhere tonight, a Service Dog will wake her handler at three in the morning because his blood sugar is dropping and he doesn’t know it yet. She’ll bring him his medical case. He’ll be fine. He’ll go back to sleep.

That dog started somewhere.

Someone raised her in their home. Someone evaluated her and saw what she could become. Someone drove her the long way from a shelter to a Puppy Raiser. Someone kept the records straight so the right match got made with the right person.

None of those people were professional dog trainers. That’s our job.

Their job was simply to show up and do the part they could do.

Why Volunteer With YSDI

Most Service Dog programs charge recipients $20,000 to $50,000 for a trained dog. We place ours at no charge.

That model only works because of the people who make it possible. Our training team handles the dogs and the Full Potential Method. What we need are people who are organized, committed, and want their time to go somewhere it will count.

Current Openings

🐾 Puppy Raiser

Open your home to a future Service Dog. You provide the home and the consistency; we provide the training guidance and the support. This is the foundation of everything we do.

📋 PEP Program Director

Oversee our Prospect Evaluation and Placement pipeline — the program that identifies candidate dogs, guides them through training, and matches them with the people who need them. You’d coordinate Regional Coordinators, track dogs through the program, and help make sure each match is the right one.

Remote-friendly. Roughly 10–15 hours per week. Nonprofit or program management experience helps; a head for logistics is essential.

🗺️ Regional Coordinator

Be our presence in your area. Regional Coordinators identify candidate dogs from local shelters and rescues, support Puppy Raisers in their region, and keep dogs moving through the program.

Remote, flexible hours. Good for someone who likes people, likes dogs, and follows through.

💼 Administrative & Program Support

Grant research, donor outreach, social media, scheduling, records. The work that keeps a nonprofit running.

Remote, flexible. Tell us what you’re good at and we’ll find where it fits.

What You Get

  • Real responsibility in a working program — not busywork
  • Direct line of sight from what you do to who it helps
  • Flexible, remote-friendly roles built around your availability
  • Training and support from a team that has been doing this since 2018

Ready?

Tell us about yourself and what you’d like to do. We’ll find the right fit together — and if the role you want isn’t listed here, tell us anyway.
